  38. I picked up a $349 Teleport/Gold.  I've been using it with AppleLink,
  39. America Online, uAccess, and AppleTalk Remote Access with no problems
  40. so far (I've had it about a week).

  42. It comes with a cable and what appears to be pretty good documentation.
  43. It also comes with a Control Panel for setting some of the parameters
  44. (like speaker volume) and a CCL file for use with AppleLink.

  46. I tried the fax software and it worked fine for me (just hold down
  47. the option key when you click on the File menu and your PRINT command
  48. becomes a FAX command and faxes your pages rather than prints them).

  50. I've left mine one for a week and it's not even warm, so overheating
  51. doesn't seem to be a problem.

  53. The speaker has one problem, it plenty loud with the touch tone sounds,
  54. but sounds from the line, like busy signals and dial tone, are too
  55. muted for me to hear over the sound of a Quadra 900 and a few disk
  56. drives.

  58. Other than that I haven't had any troubles.  I think it's a good deal.
