-
- I picked up a $349 Teleport/Gold. I've been using it with AppleLink,
- America Online, uAccess, and AppleTalk Remote Access with no problems
- so far (I've had it about a week).
-
- It comes with a cable and what appears to be pretty good documentation.
- It also comes with a Control Panel for setting some of the parameters
- (like speaker volume) and a CCL file for use with AppleLink.
-
- I tried the fax software and it worked fine for me (just hold down
- the option key when you click on the File menu and your PRINT command
- becomes a FAX command and faxes your pages rather than prints them).
-
- I've left mine one for a week and it's not even warm, so overheating
- doesn't seem to be a problem.
-
- The speaker has one problem, it plenty loud with the touch tone sounds,
- but sounds from the line, like busy signals and dial tone, are too
- muted for me to hear over the sound of a Quadra 900 and a few disk
- drives.
-
- Other than that I haven't had any troubles. I think it's a good deal.
