  16. A slightly different (albeit immodest) way to phrase the question would
  17. be "when is everyone going to make an X Window Manager as cool as the
  18. DESQview/X Window Manager?"  Mark and Transfer is not broken under mwm
  19. (since it's never been made a part of it), and thus is not likely to be
  20. fixed.  Our mwm is the same as the original, simply recompiled to work
  21. on a DOS/DESQview/X platform.  The issue here is that the window manager
  22. would have to be able to read the text contents of a window and send
  23. those contents to another as synthetic events, something which WM's
  24. don't typically do.  Perhaps X Clipboard and the ICCM will help in
  25. bringing this sort of feature to other window managers.  Meanwhile, the
  26. best workaround is to use DWM.
