- DR>After much fun coordinating interupt vectors, RAM base addresses and
- DR>whatnot among ethernet card, packet driver, and FTP Inc PC/TCP kernel,
- DR>I finally got DVX up and running over the network. Great stuff!
-
- DR>To my dismay, after being in DVX for an hour or so, making a few
- DR>custimizations to menus, setting some options, etc, after rebooting
- DR>DVX now hangs the system when I run it. I've tried all sorts of games
- DR>to figure out why, but I haven't a clue. I haven't read every word
- DR>in the manuals yet - is there a way to tell DVX to trace what its
- DR>doing so I can find out where its dying?
-
- DR>Any clues or suggestions would be appreciated. What's the proper way
- DR>to debug this sort of thing?

- Providing lots of information to those who would like to help you is a
- good way to start. What kind of machine do you have, and who made it?
- What brand, model, and type of hard drive do you have? What kind of
- video card do you have? Who made it? Do you have any other adapter
- cards installed on the machine? Where is your network card addressed?
- What make of BIOS do you have, and what date? What do CONFIG.SYS and
- AUTOEXEC.BAT look like? At what point does the hang happen -- before
- the logo, after it, before you get the X cursor, after the window
- manager menu appears?
