  29. 2) Does this work in a DOS window under DESQview/X?  From the DOS prompt
  30.    before DESQview/X has been run?
  31. 3) There is an option under DESQview/X Advanced Setup / Tune Performance
  32.    for fast serial I/O; is this set to Y?
  33. 4) Are you using an XMS disk cache?  Does it work better if the cache
  34.    uses EMS?
  35. 5) You have a UART, but all serial ports do; is this a 16550 or a 16450
  36.    or 8450?

  41. There is no swapping at all under DESQview/X; close on exit is a setting
  42. in the Change a Program Menu for each program.

  44. Try downloading Quarterdeck Technical Note #237, Communications Programs
  45. and DESQview (COMMPROG.TEC) for more suggestions.
