  20. Pentecost is the day we celebrate the first Pentecost, the day when
  21. the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles (don't have my Bible here
  22. at work so I can't give you references).

  24.         Pentecost is basically the birthday of the Church.

  26.         Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, the season of penitence
  27. and preparation before Holy Week.  It is the custom to receive ashes
  28. on one's forehead on this day as a sign of penitence.
