- The reason why there is no direct line now is that Tasman is broken in
- two places -- near Lafayette street and over 880. Once those breaks
- are filled in, a bus route could be started to parallel the Tasman
- corridor, at a far smaller cost. With some bus priority measures (like
- the bus/carpool lanes on San Tomas), it would be as fast.
