- - Does this mean that when the "team" looked at "Eye" they decided it
- - was too bad to be competitive/marketable/fixable, and thus cancled
- - the follow-up project?
-
- If by "it" you mean _Guardians_, then yes, I am presuming that
- that is the case. I do not know for certain. What is this "follow-up
- project" to which you refer?
-
- - What a lot of people in this news group will fail to understand is that
- - 50 - 100 sales do not make a successful project. It costs equally
- - big bucks to launch a new project as to develop that project. The company
- - is often in the "halfway swimming across the ocean" situation when they
- - have to decide on "go/nogo" with a project. The project can itself be
- - "finished" but a sound, reasonable decision to halt the project prior
- - to manufacturing/marketing/selling is made.
- -
- - Do you feel this is the case here? You seem to think that "Eye" will
- - be released, but given that they didn't continue with a follow-up, which
- - would be inherently easier to produce, makes that decision and the
- - judgement of quality of "Eye" a borderline decision of dubious future.
- -
- - ric@netcom.com | hope he likes enchiladas, because that's what he's getting.
-
- Who do you indicate with "they," Knight Technologies (who were
- producing _Guardians_ for Telegames) or the folks making _Eye of_? And
- again, what is this "follow-up" to a game that was never completed to be-
- gin with that should have emerged?
