  20. to date with a number of recent advertisements.

  27. Every year the colleges of Cambridge University offer a number of
  28. research fellowships intended for highly qualified candidates with,
  29. or just about to finish, a Ph.D. (or equivalent).  The terms and
  30. conditions vary from college to college, so I have compiled an
  31. _informal_ and _unauthorised_ guide for applicants unfamiliar
  32. with the Cambridge system (intended for mathematicians but of
  33. interest, I hope, in all subjects).
