- I've had success with fig newtons, bananas and power bars (not all at
- the same time!) on long runs. The newtons tend to hold up well with the
- jarring that occurs while running. I'll have one around 13-14 miles,
- maybe a 2nd around 19 miles and perhaps another 2-3 miles later
- depending on how I feel.

- I find the power Bar, for convenience, is better before the run than
- during as it's more difficult to open and chew than the newtons.
