- run was turbocharged. The turbocharger is actually a hybrid in that
- the turbocharger was also spun by the engine through some gearing.
- This turbocharger had a turbine wheel almost 3 feet in diameter.

- I've never seen a D8 that wasn't turbocharged. I've seen several as
- I worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in and right after college.
- About the only heavy equipment not turbocharged that comes immediately
- to mind are the Detroit Diesel supercharged engines on things
- like Gradalls. Even our Manitowoc (sp) cranes were turbocharged.
