  26. Don't feel bad.  Chiltons identifies my '87 Escort as being carburated
  27. even though I can quite clearly see that it is throttle body injected.  
  28. In fact, they claim that TBI wasn't even introduced on the Escort until
  29. '88.

  31. I follow the instructions for the engine I have, ignoring the fact
  32. that Chiltons believes I have a different engine.  Works just fine.

  34. If you purchased the car used and are worried that perhaps you got
  35. a cobbled together car, you may want to check with the official
  36. Pontiac repair manual.  It will be far more useful than Chiltons in
  37. the end, anyway.
