- Don't feel bad. Chiltons identifies my '87 Escort as being carburated
- even though I can quite clearly see that it is throttle body injected.
- In fact, they claim that TBI wasn't even introduced on the Escort until
- '88.

- I follow the instructions for the engine I have, ignoring the fact
- that Chiltons believes I have a different engine. Works just fine.

- If you purchased the car used and are worried that perhaps you got
- a cobbled together car, you may want to check with the official
- Pontiac repair manual. It will be far more useful than Chiltons in
- the end, anyway.
