- A bit more info: I've owned three MBZ cars at different times,
- including a 1984 190E, and all show less than max oil pressure
- during idle. You will usually see about half scale on the
- gauge, depending on oil temp and viscosity.

- Incidentally, my first MBZ was a 1968 250S, and I had the opposite
- reaction to the oil pressure that you did - the part-scale reading at
- idle seemed normal, but I was concerned about the needle hitting the
- maximum pressure stop (sometimes violently) at above-idle RPM. This,
- of course, turned out to be normal as well.
