  11. After changing an entry in the ".Xdefaults" file how can I get X to
  12. see the changes?  For example, "xterm" does not see a change in a 
  13. color resource until the system is "quit" and restarted.  There is
  14. a note in the "man X" entry that says a number of X applications will
  15. read "Xdefaults" when they are executed.  I have yet to find any applications
  16. that will read that file.  Is there a way to get X to update itself from 
  17. Xdefaults with out shutting down X and restarting it?

  19. I am running Ultrix 4.1 on a DECstation.
