  15. I am looking for a little help with a kind of strange situation.  I have 
  16. a 170MB external hard disk that is ESDI.  The person I got it from said
  17. it was out of an older Sun Workstation.  In the system I purchased from
  18. him, he said that he had formatted the drive to work with the Macintosh.  
  19. He sent the drive and an adapter.  I connected everything but the SCSI 
  20. bus keeps getting locked up (no drives are seen).  As soon as I
  21. disconnect 
  22. the adapter everything is fine.

  24. I did not get any information about the adapter or the hard disk, so I am 
  25. not even sure it is connected correctly.  I fear that I may have damaged 
  26. the adapter some how.  I am willing to take the loss if I can still get 
  27. access to the drive.

  29. Therefore I am looking for any information on how I can connect the ESDI 
  30. drive to the SCSI port of my IIci or any other options for connecting an 
  31. ESDI drive to a Macintosh.
