  14. Hi netters,
  15.  
  16. Does anyone have experience running PacerPrint on Sun. We have severe
  17. problems 
  18. with that product. What we have done is as follows:
  19. Installed AppleTalk 2.4.11, PacerShare 2.4.8 and PacerPrint 2.4.12 on 
  20. SPARCstation IPX running SunOS 4.1.2 (no patches) 16 MB RAM, 424 MB
  21. internal 
  22. hard disk and 200 MB ext hard disk. We have two printers (Apple
  23. LaserWriter II
  24. NT and NTX) connected via LocalTalk through Apple InternetRouter.
  25. Varityper and HYPHEN Image Setters are connected directly to ethernet
  26. (thin)
  27. with Dayna EtherPrint (Ethernet to LocalTalk connection boxes). All the
  28. Macs 
  29. are in ethernet Zone. All the printings are from Macs.
  30.  
  31. Problems:
  32. If I try to print several jobs to any of these printers the first one
  33. usually 
  34. comes out OK but the rest doesn't until I kill the related xxxxfilter
  35. process.

  37. Sometimes happens also that the spooler (PacerPrint) takes the job OK,
  38. but 
  39. when it begins to send it to the chosen printer it just disappears.
  40.  
  41. Couple of times has also happened that the whole system crashes.
  42. IPX just goes grazy with following messages to console:
