- I downloaded thr new "official" trident 32 bit drivers off the IBM NSC BBS,
- and had no problems installing them according to the instructions included.
- They seem really fast, but I've noticed a few bugs:
-
- 1. Switching back and forth between a windows full screen session and OS/2,
- the bottom 1" of my display is not getting refreshed. Maximizing a window
- forces a redraw, so I can live with it, especially since I expect to be
- using seamless windows most of the time, but it is annoying.
-
- 2. After fiddling with the fonts in a dos window session (containing
- Norton Commander), and then using the top left botton to close the window
- (instead of closing the program itself), OS/2 locked up. I hit Ctrl+Esc
- and waited a while, but no dice. I had this happen twice while I was trying
- to find a font I could see (the old trident fonts were MUCH easier to
- read than these new single pixel wide ones).
-
- The drivers are so nice, otherwise, that I think I'll stick with then a while.
- If anyone has any thoughts about the above problems, please let me know.
-
- Oh! I neglected to mention that I am using the 800x600x256 mode.
-
- Thanks in advance.
