- This is in fact not possible, and probably not advisable. From my
- understanding of it, shutdown capabilities and such lie at the kernel
- level and you probably wouldn't want to have a utility overriding operating
- system functions. If IBM can't figure it out and someone else can, then
- hmmm... there is definitely a problem here.

- FYI, the keysequence is CTRL+ALT+NUMLOCK+NUMLOCK. What that does is
- perform a core dump on floppy disks, a core dump deing the contents of
- your memory, all X MBytes or so. Your mileage my vary, etc. And you
- have to format the first floppy on a running OS/2 bootup using a special
- utility that comes with OS/2 called CREATEDD (create dump diskette???).
- It is meant to be used by IBM tech-support in impossible-to-figure-out
- problem situations.
-
- Of course IBM won't be too happy if you send them the core dump if
- they don't ask you for it and that's understandable. They would preety
- soon end up with a warehouse full of floppies etc. Actually that may
- prove fruitfull in cases where MS gets scared again of some real
- competition and decides to buy all the floppies so that their
- competitor has nothing to ship their operating system in. I thought
- I'd throw that in for fun!
-
- Does this help?
