- Well, I've got a strange one happening to me. I have OS/2 installed on two
- systems one is a Compaq 386/33L with 12 meg of ram and the other is a Compaq
- 486/33M. A couple weeks ago I received and installed the service pack at home
- on the 33L and shortly after I received and installed it at work on the M-box.
-
- Aside from some occassional system lock ups, everything seemed to be fine,
- however in the past couple days both systems have begun exhibiting the same
- strange problem. For no apparent reason, every so often the systems will beep
- 1, 2 or 3 times. This behavior seems to be completely random, I have not been
- able to determine any specific action that will cause it.
-
- Sometimes it will occur while the system is booting and sometimes it won't.
- Sometimes it will happen when I execute an application and sometimes it won't.
- It's not a devastating problem, but it is a kind of anoying problem.
-
- Has anyone out there experienced a similar problem or know what is causing it
- and how to make it stop?
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
- Chas
