- I tried to install linux (several versions, like 0.97, 0.98 and
- using Hlu boot/root) in a PS/2 L40SX IBM laptop and in all cases the
- thing stops dead the first time it needs keyboard input.
- Actually, it reads the keyboard when it asks for the VGA/SVGA mode,
- but that's it. With HLU boot/root, it goes all the way and gives me
- a login prompt, but will not take anything from the keyboard.
-
- I have no idea what to do now. I have linux up and running in a 486
- desk-top with great results, but my knowledge of PC hardware is
- (very) limited and I don't know that to look for. I could probably
- try some modifications in the Kernel, if I knew what the problem was.
-
- Thank's for any help (by e-mail, please)
