  12. Hello netters,

  14. I was trying to install SLS on my PC last night and received an error for 
  15. which I haven't a clue.  I booted from disk a1.  All looks well, it displayed
  16. Linux version 0.98.pl5-49 11/16/92 17:49:23.  Then requests that I input
  17. utilities disk (assume it means disk a2).  Put disk a2 in.  It then displays:

  19.   /dev/ram on / type minix ()
  20.   /dev/hda2 on /mnt type minix ()
  21.   /dev/fd0H1440 on /usr type minix (defaults)
  22.   Further instructions can be found in the file /user/README.
  23.   Type 'more /user/README' to look at it.

  26. Now at the linux prompt '#', I type 'ls' and it responds with 'ls: command not
  27. found'.  Basically, no linux commands work.

  29. So, I decide to try 'doinstall /dev/hda2' (since the partition already existed
  30. from a previous version of SLS).  After I insert a2 in the floppy drive at it's
  31. request, the following error is displayed:
  32.   free-inode: bit 1 already cleared.
  33.   error: you may have inserted the wrong disk, try again (y/n)?

  35. Is the SLS disk 'a2' corrupt on tsx-11?  The previous version I installed back
  36. in November didn't have these problems at all.

  38. Has anyone seen this problem before?
