- I am about to install LINUX on my 486 but have a few questions.
- I have scoured the FAQ and as much documentation as I could find
- before I posted to the newsgroup... Here goes:
-
- I have the Windows NT Oct BETA installed on my system. I also
- have DOS 5.0. Windows NT creates a loader that I can choose to
- either boot Windows NT or Other OS on Drive C:. I am afraid
- that if I use LILO, it will screw up this boot loader that NT
- creates. Anyone have anyu experience in this area??
-
- My C drive is partitioned into 2 halves, and I have a second IDE
- drive installed. The 1st IDE drive partitions are C: and E: and
- the second IDE drive is partioned into Drive D: and F:. If I want
- to install LINUX on partition F: what is the proper /dev/hd? ?
- I want to make sure it doesnt install over my C: or E: partitions.
-
- Come on people ... help me escape sh*tty DOS...
-
- Forever in your debt,
- Tim
