- I'm interested in people's war stories concerning linux-able communications
- packages. At this time I have the following list:
-
- xcomm - I like it and use it
- minicomm - I hate it
- pcomm - I hate it
- xseyon - too early to tell, right ?
- kermit - does ANYBODY like using it ?
-
- no flames please...the above are only my opinions...my point is that there
- is a need for a non-unix-weenie terminal emulator/communications package for
- unix (linux in this case) that has the ease-of-use of something like
- ProcommPlus or Telix under DOS.
-
- Regarding kermit, I know it works...but I've always felt it's too hard to
- configure for most people. I'm looking for something that you define the
- serial port device and speed, set up a dialing directory, and go.
-
- Any feedback would be appreciated and I'd be happy to summarize for c.o.l.
- or one of the parts of the FAQ...
