- Ok, here's the deal on my machine. I booted the original 0.99 source, patched
- for the inode stuff. My machine booted fine, and all of the tcp/ip stuff
- seemed to work ok INCLUDING the daemons: telnetd, talkd, etc. Then I applied
- the four tcp/ip patches on sunsite.unc.edu and recompiled. Now none of the
- daemons work at all. I can telnet out, but not in. I also have trouble with
- ftp at times. I noticed when I was doing the patching that one of the diffs
- in patch 4 reversed an earlier one. I told it to go ahead reverse. Was that
- the correct decision? Any chance of the daemons ever working again?
