- I rang Computabilty last night with a view to buying a Supra FM V.32 bis.
- I was just getting my credit card out to pay the terrific price of $279
- plus ~$42 shipping to the UK and the salesman said "Sorry I can't ship
- that to the UK". "Huuuh?", I said (knowing that I can buy the same
- modem at the ridiculous pound-for-dollar rate here (plus ten pounds!)
- from Blue Mountain Imports). "OK", I said, "can I buy *any* V.32bis
- modem from you and have you ship it to the UK?". "You can have the
- Zoom FM V.32bis for $259", the salesman replied. "Can I ask *why* you
- won't ship me the Supra?" "Supra told us not to export." "Sheesh".
- Click.

- What's going on?!?
-
- BTW - I really want to know whether it's worth holding out for a Supra
- vs. the Zoom, anyway.
