  14. I have been in the market for some high speed modems for me and my
  15. boss to be able to dial in from home or from the road to our Sun IPC.
  16. There has been a little talk on the net that the sun can't handle the
  17. throughput in the serial port due to stupid Sun problems with hardware
  18. flow control, which can be fixed, but only at a high price.

  20. Before I tell my boss to get ready to write (another) big check to
  21. Sun, can anyone who has successfully implemented a high speed modem on
  22. his or her Sun (I have an IPC, but I'd be interested in hearing about
  23. any sun), please post a brief summary of the solution you used? Or
  24. email it to me and I will summarize all the answers I get. As I'm sure
  25. that there are lots of people with Suns who are considering high speed
  26. modems (with the price drops and all) I think that you could be real
  27. helpful by sharing your computer joys and sorrows with us all. Plus
  28. it's good therapy!
