  22. It could, in fact, be either.  Anyway, these two causes togeter
  23. account for, must be, 99% of the reports of allegedly corrupt
  24. packages we archive site moderators tend to get.

  26. Yes, there have also been cases of genuine corrupted packages, but
  27. that it very, very rare.  I still recall that the last true case of
  28. a corrupted entity came from Samuel Ko (who saw us through the vote)
  29. concerning a Garbo file some two to three months ago.

  31. In sum, the user should first carefully check his/her PKZIP version
  32. and transfer modes both between the FTP -> host and host -> PC. 
  33. There is quite a number of errors that is thus possible for the user
  34. to make.
