- I'm probably wrong, but I don't see them as "damn near identical". After
- readin' a.r and ARC (along with soc.singles and soc.couples), I view a.r
- as a more "mechanical" side of romance, where ARC has the banter. a.r IMHO
- has more to do with (ie) what color of the rose denotes what emotion,
- engagement present ideas, lists of romantic songs, romantic first date
- ideas, etc., where ARC contains the banter (running threads).
- I don't view a.r as a "syrupy sweet" group. It mostly contains
- references for romantic ideas, such as the ones I listed above.
- ARC _is_ "syrupy sweet", and can be very annoyin'. But, so can
- a month-long thread on "seesters". :)
