  25. I'm probably wrong, but I don't see them as "damn near identical". After
  26. readin' a.r and ARC (along with soc.singles and soc.couples), I view a.r
  27. as a more "mechanical" side of romance, where ARC has the banter. a.r IMHO
  28. has more to do with (ie) what color of the rose denotes what emotion, 
  29. engagement present ideas, lists of romantic songs, romantic first date
  30. ideas, etc., where ARC contains the banter (running threads).
  31.     I don't view a.r as a "syrupy sweet" group. It mostly contains
  32. references for romantic ideas, such as the ones I listed above.
  33.     ARC _is_ "syrupy sweet", and can be very annoyin'. But, so can
  34. a month-long thread on "seesters".   :)
