  17. I'm going to side Diamond here: when a person introduces themselves,
  18. they are stating a preference for what they would like to be called.
  19. I've lost track of the number of times some doofus calls me 'Dan' right
  20. after I've introduced myself as 'Aahz' -- even worse, when someone
  21. decides that my "real name" is 'Daniel'.....
