- Another thing I find very interesting is that while the "old-fashioned"
- technique of "ladder firing" had been discarded by the British in favor
- of the centralised gun director, most accounts I've read credit the Ger-
- mans with significantly better gunnery. I also find it interesting that
- every other navy I've read about adopted director gun-control during/af-
- ter WWI ( The British were the first to do so. When the war started most
- of their battleships/cruisers hadn't been converted yet. The BC's used
- in the Falklands being one example of non-centralised capital ships.),
- INCLUDING the Germans!
