  14.               ATMOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY FACULTY POSITION

  16. The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Purdue University
  17. invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area
  18. of Atmospheric Chemistry at the Assistant or beginning Associate
  19. Professor level.  Scientists working in aerosol and cloud chemistry,
  20. photochemistry, biosphere-atmosphere cycling, tracer transport and
  21. related fields are invited to apply.  The department currently has 25
  22. faculty in the areas of atmospheric science, geophysics, geochemistry
  23. and geology and 77 graduate students.  Extensive computational and
  24. experimental facilities are available in the department and through
  25. collaborative arrangements at other sites on campus.

  27. Consideration of applications will begin December 1, 1992 and the
  28. search will continue until the position is filled.  Applications will
  29. be selected on the basis of their demonstrated ability to develop a
  30. high quality research program and to teach effectively at the graduate
  31. and undergraduate levels.  An earned doctorate is required and some
  32. post doctoral experience is desirable.  Applicants should submit a
  33. letter summarizing their research interests, a curriculum vita and the
  34. names of at least three references to:
