- Yes. Don't use them - either wet or dry. I spent a lot of time over the
- summer mending video recorders. The most annoying part of the day was spent
- cleaning white muck of the heads left behind by head cleaners.
-
- As an insight to how much damage head cleaners do to the heads, we had one
- machine come in for repair which was less than a year old. It was not
- subjected to excessively heavy use (about 2 hours per day) but the heads
- were already worn out. We asked the owner whether or not they used head
- cleaning tapes. "Yes", says he, "every time. Before and after I use the
- machine."
-
- 'nuff said?
