- Things should be interesting. I expect most of this would be
- taken over by short lines, especially in the Atlantic provinces. The
- Bangor and Aroostook would seem to have an interest in preserving their
- connections west. I could see them securing the line from Brownville
- Junction west to Sherbrooke.
- This isn't unexpected news, since CP's purchase of the D & H.
- But I wonder how the Canadian politicians will react to preference in
- using U. S ports as opposed to St. John and Halifax?
