- In the Canon EOS 100 (U.K. version of the Elan)
- you can easily stop the ISO flashing by setting
- CF3 (which disables reading the DX information
- from the film canister). The camera checks the
- DX information if this function is not set and
- will flash the ISO announciator regardless of
- what happens after that if there is no DX code.

- If you set CF3, this check does not occur and
- the ISO announciator will not flash (even if you
- reset CF3 after loading the film).

- The checks all occur when the back is closed
- and the film auto-loads. You can't change
- things after the film is loaded.

- Don't forget to set the correct ISO manually
- (it will remain at its last setting).
