- I suppose I should have said that I was not familiar with the engine in
- question, but was basing my reply on automotive type altenators, as used on
- inboards. It is usual to warn that the battery switch should not be turned
- off with the engine running, and some battery switches have auxiliary contacts
- to open the field circuit when turned off.
