- If you haven't done so yet, check the fuel filter. Not extactly sure where
- it would be on a 140h.p. On my 50h.p. Evinrude there was one on the side
- of the carb ... take out three screws and clean the screen. I believe my
- 1989 vintage 88h.p. Evinrude has the same set up. They run fine until
- you pour the coals to it but as soon as you hit high R.P.M. for a few
- seconds the engine dies for lack of fuel.
