  26. I had identical problems with a perforated fuel pump bladder.  It'll run
  27. forever in neutral and even up to around 1000 RPM, but lay into it runs dry
  28. after about 1 to 4 seconds.  Turns out the perforated bladded was caused by
  29. insufficient cleaning of the internal fuel tank during assembly.  Chips of
  30. aluminum perforated my fuel filter then the fuel pump.  Had the tank
  31. drained and cleaned.  There was about 100 small chips in the tank.

  33. To test this out, remove your fuel filter and try running the motor.  If it
  34. still happens it's probably the pump.

  36. BTW, it's always a good idea to install a second heavy duty, high capacity
  37. fuel filter between the tank and the motor.  I learned my lesson.
