- This is quite typical as the area is not hermetically sealed with a
- desiccant enclosed. Plus, the iron content of the parts is quite high
- so it will tend to rust rather quickly, depending on atmospheric conditions.

- Make sure your fingers are clean and DRY before handling the parts. Clean
- the parts well, removing any oils that may have gotten onto the parts from
- your hands, then smear grease over the parts to be protected. This is not
- a guarantee but it should minimize the problem. Make sure you are using
- the correct grease, especially paying note to if it requires a hi-temperature
- variety.
