- Most "creators" (i.e. artists, authors, software designers, etc.)
- copyright their works *precisely* because they feel quite strongly
- that since aforementioned works are the result of their labour and
- creativity it should be their priviledge to retain control over what
- is done with said works.

- Note that even "creators" who give their works away without financial
- compensation (such as for example the Free Software Foundation) feel
- this way most of the time and thus claim copyright of their work.
