- Oh, don't worry about it. Those marks are normal and mean you're
- lifting a weight heavy enough to break some surface capillaries.
- Like you said, they go away pretty fast, and they don't really hurt (though
- my shoulders usually are a little sore after doing heavy squats).

- If I'm wearing a tanktop, I will use a towel on the bar, because the knurling
- on the bar really can cut you up (esp. if its a new bar, ouch!).
- Otherwise, the shirt I got on (not a tanktop) is enough protection.
- I feel completely awkward squatting with a pad. The bar never feels
- secure, so I just don't use it.
