- I doubt that it's up on the roof. Skunks don't climb. Try looking in the
- other direction. If you have a crawl space, one has probably moved in for
- the winter. Skunks are primarily nocturnal, so if you can figure out
- where it gets in, wait until it's gone (right after sundown), and secure
- the openings. It'll leave if it can't get back to it's nest.

- Now, if it's not nesting under the house, then it lives in the area and
- is dropping by your place hunting for food. They eat about anything and
- love eggs. If the garbage smells are what's attracting it, you might try
- dousing the cans with ammonia. This is just to hide the food smell; I
- somehow doubt that any sort of odor will actually deter a skunk!
