- One piece of advice. When I was shopping for mine, I checked all the
- discount places. I wanted a slide-in or drop in range and oven unit,
- and they were scarce and expensive. Finally I started checking little
- neighborhood appliance dealers. The second one I tried was able to order
- exactly what I wanted from GE for a little more than $400. The least
- expensive "discount" store unit was a Caloric (not my idea of quality)
- and was priced at over $600.
