  13. I have a Sony R/W optical disk (SMO-C501-00) that I brought through
  14. Sun UK about a year ago. It has now started to give me some problems.
  15. The disk is normally online continuously. However, it has now started
  16. spinning down then spinning back up all by itself.  Sometimes the disk
  17. never spins back up and the server promptly crashes.

  19. This disk is NOT on maintenance. I have also discovered since that there
  20. is a cleaning cartridge which should be used monthly. However, I don't
  21. have one.

  23. I need to know if this is a fault that I need to call the engineer out for.
  24. Has anyone else experienced the same problems?
