- Sun coming out with a laptop is a natural progression of their shift to
- MIS. Clone manaufacturers are also likely, perhaps more likely, to
- get in on the deal. Their problem is, as always, cost. Sun gets the
- chip reasonably cheaply because they helped design it. The cost for
- clone manufacturers is still $500 per chip I understand. And
- development costs to implement Solaris 2.x on that chip will be a tad
- :-) more expensive for cloners then for Sun.
