  12. Does anyone have, or have references to, shell scripts which collect
  13. network statistics, that they can _e_mail_ to me, as I don't have
  14. ftp access?  Purpose:  We have a network of about 20 machines which
  15. is shortly to be connected to the campus-wide network, and thus to
  16. the world.  I would like to provide the campus network administrator
  17. some statistics on our level of traffic, since our group would be
  18. by far the largest of any group currently connected.  At the moment
  19. we have no performance problems on our network, as we have no diskless
  20. workstations, fewer users than machines, and only occasional bursts
  21. of cross-network file transfer.  Thus I feel no need to invest in
  22. any sophisticated network tuning software.
