- Does anyone have, or have references to, shell scripts which collect
- network statistics, that they can _e_mail_ to me, as I don't have
- ftp access? Purpose: We have a network of about 20 machines which
- is shortly to be connected to the campus-wide network, and thus to
- the world. I would like to provide the campus network administrator
- some statistics on our level of traffic, since our group would be
- by far the largest of any group currently connected. At the moment
- we have no performance problems on our network, as we have no diskless
- workstations, fewer users than machines, and only occasional bursts
- of cross-network file transfer. Thus I feel no need to invest in
- any sophisticated network tuning software.
