- Lying?
-
- Sun also told the world that they were committed to three lines -- 680X0,
- 386, and SPARC.
-
- They told us they'd never abandon the techies. Now the techies pay extra
- for the C compiler they need, but get no discount if they don't want OW.
- And I see now that display PostScript will be standard bundled. Gotta
- pay for that, you techies.
-
- They told us the migration would be done in 18 months, and old code would
- continue to work.
-
- They charge hefty licence fees for OS software upgraded, but I will bet
- you $100.00 today that when non-Sun OSs come out for their workstations,
- you will not be able to get $1 off of a workstation if you try to buy
- it without the OS.
-
- Lying?
-
- Naw, they just change their mind based on what they think the market wants
- and what they think they can get away with.
