  10. Hello Netters,

  12. I am seriously considering purchasing a Hewlett Packard
  13. Deskwriter for my Macintosh. I do have one question concerning
  14. compatibility though. You see, my roommate has a 386SX-16 and he
  15. prints out his documents on an old Epson dot matrix. Since
  16. our computers are in the same room, could we hook them both
  17. up to the Deskwriter?  I thought this might be possible because
  18. I've heard that the DeskWriter and DeskJet are almost (if not entirely)
  19. identical.  What will he need to connect?

  21. First off, he's running Windows3.1. You know, that crude, ineffective
  22. interface that Microsoft copied from the number one computer in the
  23. world?  Yeah, that one.

  25. What software and cables would he need?  Is ATM a necessity? Would
  26. he need font cartridges? Anything else you could think of would be
  27. a big help.
