- Hello Netters,
-
- I am seriously considering purchasing a Hewlett Packard
- Deskwriter for my Macintosh. I do have one question concerning
- compatibility though. You see, my roommate has a 386SX-16 and he
- prints out his documents on an old Epson dot matrix. Since
- our computers are in the same room, could we hook them both
- up to the Deskwriter? I thought this might be possible because
- I've heard that the DeskWriter and DeskJet are almost (if not entirely)
- identical. What will he need to connect?
-
- First off, he's running Windows3.1. You know, that crude, ineffective
- interface that Microsoft copied from the number one computer in the
- world? Yeah, that one.
-
- What software and cables would he need? Is ATM a necessity? Would
- he need font cartridges? Anything else you could think of would be
- a big help.
-
- ADVthanksANCE,
-
- Chuck
