- You WILL fry your logic board. Sleep is not off. ADB devices won't matter
- except that they probably won't be recognized until you shutdown and restart.

- On the PowerBook 100, putting it to sleep is functionally the same as shutting
- it down. Power to the internal components is identical. Unlike the 140/170,
- the CPU is shut OFF when the PB100 is in Sleep mode. In both the Sleep and
- Shutdown states, the only components that remain on are the Power Control
- Circuit, the Power Manager, the RAM/VRAM, and the Keyboard & Controller. The
- real-time clock and PRAM are powered by the backup batteries and are never
- shut down; this is why the PowerBook 100 is capable of performing a "hot swap"
- while the 140 and 170 are not.
-
- With that out of the way, I would recommend shutting down the PowerBook 100
- before plugging or unplugging the floppy drive, for the simple reason that the
- floppy won't be recognized until you restart anyway, so why not just shut it
- down, plug the floppy in, and restart.
-
- This is also discussed at greater length in "The PowerBook Book" by Richard
- Wolfson.
