I have really liked the ][vx and I still do, for the money the ][vx is a great
deal but.....  I have been defending the ][vx since the 19th, I even posted a
message as to why the ][vx was a better choice (in my situation) over the ][ci.
 Well, I have changed my order to a ][ci (it's too bad, I was really looking
forward to the photo CD compatibility and the improved graphics).  Here is a
very brief description of why.  I am a musician and Iuse my Mac primarily for
MIDI applications.  I have recently discovered that the ][vx has problems with
the serial ports and MIDI.  A computer that has problems with MIDI for my
needs is useless.  You would think that Apple would have paid more attention
to the use of MIDI on the ][vx considering it is the new "Multimedia
Macintosh".  Apple .... you goofed.  I understand there will be fixes for the
problem but no time frame has been given.  I will post my findings once I am
through gathering infomation on the subject for those who are interested.
