- I have really liked the ][vx and I still do, for the money the ][vx is a great
- deal but..... I have been defending the ][vx since the 19th, I even posted a
- message as to why the ][vx was a better choice (in my situation) over the ][ci.
- Well, I have changed my order to a ][ci (it's too bad, I was really looking
- forward to the photo CD compatibility and the improved graphics). Here is a
- very brief description of why. I am a musician and Iuse my Mac primarily for
- MIDI applications. I have recently discovered that the ][vx has problems with
- the serial ports and MIDI. A computer that has problems with MIDI for my
- needs is useless. You would think that Apple would have paid more attention
- to the use of MIDI on the ][vx considering it is the new "Multimedia
- Macintosh". Apple .... you goofed. I understand there will be fixes for the
- problem but no time frame has been given. I will post my findings once I am
- through gathering infomation on the subject for those who are interested. Stay
- tuned, Joe Ciarcia
