- The EC020 and 020 are not pin compatible. The PGA package of both
- chips is based on a 13 X 13 grid but have different pin outs. The
- surface mount versions of each chip are generally different physical
- shapes.

- One of the chief differences between the two chips is the pin outputs.
- Fewer pins on the EC version makes for a less expensive chip.

- The only thing that the 020 gets you that the EC020 doesn't is a
- larger address space. This is significant, but the best way to expand
- that on a 1200 would be thought the "trapdoor" expansion, by putting
- an accelerator processor there with its own RAM.
